Service Excellence

The Brake Shop team [for which Dr. McKinlay is the psychologist, and creator of the original model] has been selected to receive an award for its outstanding contribution in the category of Service Excellence. The Brake Shop is ‘in-tuned’ with excellence in service delivery. Consistent and regular use of client feedback and satisfaction scales ensured focus on continuous improvement in service delivery, accessibility, and timeliness. The Brake Shop is flexible and creative which positively impacts client outcomes. The Brake Shop provides exemplary assessment, treatment, consultation, training, and research for children/youth 6-18 years with Tourette Syndrome and related mental health disorders and is renowned throughout Ontario, Canada, and internationally.

The Brake Shop team received this award at a ceremony on February 7th, 2012 as part of a Ministry of Children & Youth Services (MCYS) Leadership Forum.
